The Flores Sea is at its calmest from April to October, and that dry season is when liveaboards do their best work. April–June and September–November are the sweet spots: settled seas, clear water, and the anchorages not yet at peak-season capacity.
July and August bring the year’s biggest crowds and the earliest sell-outs — the luxury hulls, with their handful of cabins, are always the first to go, so those months reward booking a season ahead.
