What "luxury" means on this route
The word is used loosely here. Backpacker open trips from Bangsal run large shared boats with deck beds and fan cabins. Boats labelled "luxury" often carry 28–38 passengers, with the label applying to the best two or three cabins only.
Ours is ten cabins and 18–23 guests, every one en-suite with air conditioning, a queen bed and — in the upper categories — a sea view. Rates are published on this page rather than quoted on request.
